Post-Publication Discussion Policy

Indonesian Journal of Educational Management and Leadership (IJEMAL) welcomes scholarly discussion and constructive feedback concerning articles published in the journal. Readers, researchers, and other members of the academic community may submit comments, questions, clarifications, corrections, or substantive concerns regarding published articles through the journal's official communication channels.

Post-publication comments should:

  • be directly relevant to the published article;
  • be based on sound academic or scientific reasoning;
  • contribute constructively to scholarly discussion;
  • be presented objectively, respectfully, and professionally; and
  • avoid personal attacks, defamatory, discriminatory, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate statements.

The Editor will assess submitted comments or concerns to determine their relevance and academic significance. Where appropriate, the Editor may invite the authors of the published article to provide a response. Authors may be given a reasonable opportunity to respond to substantive comments concerning their work.

Substantive concerns regarding the accuracy, validity, methodology, interpretation, or integrity of a published article may be referred to the relevant authors for clarification and, where necessary, investigated in accordance with the journal's Research Misconduct Policy and other applicable publication-ethics procedures.

Where a post-publication discussion identifies a substantive error or concern that affects the reliability of the published record, IJEMAL may take appropriate editorial action, including the publication of a Correction, Expression of Concern, or Retraction, depending on the nature and severity of the issue.

Post-publication discussion does not automatically constitute an allegation of research misconduct. The Editor will determine whether an issue should be handled as scholarly discussion, correction, or a formal research or publication-ethics matter.

IJEMAL is committed to maintaining an open, constructive, and evidence-based scholarly dialogue while protecting the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the published academic record.
