Classification principle. A manuscript is not classified as a Case Study Article merely because the research is conducted in one school, university, organization, or institution. The classification must be based on the research design and methodology employed by the authors. The Editorial Team reserves the right to reclassify a manuscript when the selected manuscript type does not accurately represent the submitted work.

General Submission Guidelines

Please ensure that your manuscript meets all requirements before completing the online submission.

Authors submitting manuscripts to Indonesian Journal of Educational Management and Leadership (IJEMAL) must comply with the following general requirements:

• Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal submission system (OJS).
• Authors must ensure that the manuscript follows the official IJEMAL manuscript template.
• The manuscript length must be 15–30 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
• Articles may be written in English or Indonesian. However, authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts in English to increase international readability and citation potential.
• Authors are advised to ensure that the manuscript uses clear academic language, appropriate terminology, and proper grammar. If necessary, authors may use professional language editing services before submission.
• Citations and references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style.
• Authors are encouraged to use a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, or other similar tools.
• The journal applies a double-blind peer review process. Therefore, the main manuscript must not contain author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or other identifying information.

Required Submission Files

Authors must upload two separate files during submission:

Important: Authors should not force all manuscript types into the same structure. The organization of the article should be appropriate to the research design and methodological characteristics of the manuscript.

1. The manuscript should be prepared on A4 paper, single-sided, with single-line spacing, following the official IJEMAL template.
2. The manuscript should be written in clear and academically appropriate English or Indonesian.
3. The article should follow the structure appropriate to its selected manuscript type and should contain the required sections specified in these Author Guidelines.
4. The manuscript should be between 15 and 30 pages in length.
5. The top and bottom margins should be 1.18 inches, unless otherwise specified in the official template.
6. The title should use capitalization only for the first word and proper nouns or special names, and should follow the font, size, and alignment specified in the official IJEMAL template.
7. Subtitles should use capitalization only for the first word and proper nouns or special names and should follow the formatting specified in the template.
8. Sub-subtitles, if any, should follow the same capitalization principle and begin from the left margin.
9. References should primarily consist of recent scholarly publications. More than 80% of the references are expected to be from publications within the last ten years, except for seminal or key references that remain necessary and relevant to the study.
10. Use of textbooks should be minimized and should generally account for less than 20% of the total references.

1. Equations and formulas should be numbered sequentially as (1), (2), (3), and so forth, with the number appearing on the right.
2. Estimation results generated from statistical or analytical software should not be directly presented as raw software output. Results should be appropriately processed and presented in concise and interpretable tables or figures.

1. The names of tables and figures should follow a consistent numbering system. Table titles should be placed above the tables, while figure titles should be placed below the figures.
2. Tables and figures should provide the source of information, if applicable, at the bottom.
3. Tables should contain only the necessary headings and contents. Tables should use horizontal row lines where appropriate and avoid unnecessary vertical column lines.
4. Notes and sources should be included underneath the table or figure where appropriate.

Citations in the text should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style using the author's family name and year of publication.

Authors are strongly recommended to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or other equivalent tools.

The manuscript is expected to involve approximately 20–25 primary and up-to-date references to support a high-quality contribution to knowledge development.

Citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style. The reference list should include only works that are cited in the manuscript, and every work cited in the text should appear in the reference list.

Authors are strongly encouraged to consult the relevant APA style guidelines when preparing their manuscripts.

Authors are recommended to use Mendeley, Zotero, or other reference management software to ensure consistency between in-text citations and the reference list.

AI-Assisted Writing and Disclosure

Authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support language editing, translation, or idea refinement, provided that such use is transparently declared in the manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and human authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, attribution, and integrity of all content.

Prepare Your Manuscript Using the Official Template

All manuscripts must be prepared according to the official IJEMAL MS Word template.

1. The manuscript should be submitted electronically through the IJEMAL online submission system. Authors may begin the submission process by clicking the Register tab on the journal website.
2. During online registration and submission, authors should provide complete and accurate metadata, including the full name, academic title where applicable, institutional affiliation, email address, telephone/mobile number, and other information requested by the submission system.
3. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all submitted information and files are complete, accurate, and consistent with the manuscript.
