Article Processing Charges
The Indonesian Journal of Educational Management and Leadership (IJEMAL) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support editorial management, peer review administration, copyediting, layout preparation, and online publication of accepted manuscripts.
All publication-related fees, including the APC and Fast Review fee, are charged only after a manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
Important Notice
IJEMAL does not charge any submission fee. Authors are not required to make any payment during manuscript submission, peer review, or editorial evaluation. All applicable publication fees will be invoiced only after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
Article Processing Charges
Fast Review Policy
Fast Review is an optional service available to authors who require an expedited editorial and peer review process. The Fast Review fee is IDR 1,000,000 and is separate from the regular Article Processing Charge (APC).
Authors wishing to use the Fast Review service must complete the official Fast Review Request Form provided by IJEMAL. The request will be evaluated by the editorial office based on reviewer availability and editorial capacity.
Estimated Review Period: 7–20 Days
The stated 7–20 day period is an estimated timeframe and does not constitute a guarantee. The actual review period may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, the time required to secure qualified reviewers, and the need for additional review rounds.
Fast Review is intended solely to accelerate the editorial and peer review process. It does not guarantee acceptance, a favorable review decision, or publication of the manuscript.
No payment is required when submitting the Fast Review request. If the manuscript is subsequently accepted for publication, the Fast Review fee of IDR 1,000,000 will be included in the official invoice issued by IJEMAL together with the applicable APC.
Payment of the Fast Review fee does not influence the editorial decision, reviewer recommendations, or acceptance outcome. Manuscripts processed through Fast Review remain subject to the same academic, editorial, peer review, and publication ethics standards as manuscripts processed through the regular review process.
Payment Policy
All Fees Are Payable Only After Acceptance
IJEMAL does not require any payment at the time of manuscript submission or during the peer review process. All applicable fees are invoiced only after the manuscript has been officially accepted for publication.
Once a manuscript has been officially accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive an official invoice from the IJEMAL editorial office. The invoice will include the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) and, where applicable, the Fast Review fee of IDR 1,000,000.
The applicable APC depends on the manuscript category and author affiliation as stated above. The APC covers editorial processing, peer review administration, copyediting, layout preparation, and online publication.
Authors should not make any payment to individuals or third parties claiming to represent IJEMAL unless the payment request has been officially communicated by the editorial office through the journal's recognized communication channels.
Editorial Independence and Ethical Statement

All manuscripts are evaluated according to IJEMAL's editorial policies and undergo a double-blind peer review process. Acceptance is based solely on the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and ethical standards of the manuscript.
