What is ORCID?

An ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier) is a persistent, unique digital identifier used to disambiguate researchers from one another. Your ORCID iD helps ensure that work is properly attributed and that you receive credit for everything you do as a researcher. Through integrations with other databases and services like Researcher ID, Scopus, LinkedIn, Crossref, and others, your ORCID profile automatically centralizes all of your scholarly contributions.
