Abstract

This research aims to describe student learning motivation in online learning based on the Learning Management System (LMS) Schoology in the Probability course. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with 54 subjects taking the Probability course. The instrument used was in the form of a questionnaire which included 3 indicators, namely (1) encouragement to learn, (2) persistence in carrying out tasks, (3) existence of efforts to face difficulties in learning. The results showed that 88.89% of students had high learning motivation, 1.85% of students had moderate learning motivation, and 9.26% of students had low learning motivation. Based on the results, it is expected that it can be used as an evaluation related to student learning motivation in online learning based on LMS Schoology. In the online learning process, especially those based on LMS Schoology, it is necessary to pay attention to the technical difficulties faced by students, namely signal difficulties to be able to follow the learning process on time.
